Even with affirmative action and programs designed to get more women into higher-paying jobs, most still just choose to marry up and live off of a man's salary. The only thing of value they bring to the table is sex. You take that away and they're fucking useless. Consider it logically, why are males shamed so vigorously for being virgins? Because a man not actively seeking sex from women devalues women. It's a double whammy, women will use incel as an insult as a way to give them value, but that value is purely based on their vagina and women's willingness to give it to you.
